DAY 1 – DEPARTURE TO RIO DE JANEIRO

Flight from Santo Domingo (SDQ) to Galeão International Airport (GIG).

DAY 2 – ARRIVAL IN RIO DE JANEIRO + SANTA TERESA & OLD RIO TOUR

Time for immigration and baggage claim.

Upon exiting the airport, our representative will be waiting with a sign displaying the VACACIONES WAO logo.

Transfer from Galeão International Airport (GIG) to the hotel.

Hotel check-in and free time to rest.

We’ll begin our tour through the charming Santa Teresa neighborhood.

You’ll discover its history, old mansions, and famous yellow trams.

We’ll cross the Lapa Arches and visit the Selarón Steps, a colorful piece of urban art that has become one of the most photographed icons in the city.

The tour will end in the historic center, offering a glimpse into Rio de Janeiro’s past.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 3 – FULL RIO DE JANEIRO CITY TOUR

09:00AM – 07:00PM

We’ll start with a panoramic drive through the South Zone of the city, passing its main beaches.

Then we’ll head to Corcovado, ascending in authorized vans.

At the summit, you’ll be welcomed by the majestic Christ the Redeemer statue, offering one of the most spectacular views of the Marvelous City.

We’ll also enjoy panoramic views of the Sambadrome and Maracanã Stadium—two iconic symbols of Brazilian culture and sports.

We’ll pass by the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral.

Next, we’ll stop for a delicious buffet lunch.

We’ll end the experience by taking the cable car up to Morro da Urca and then Sugarloaf Mountain, where you’ll enjoy the sunset over Rio de Janeiro with a 360-degree view of the bay, ocean, and city lights.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 4 – OLYMPIC BOULEVARD + AQUARIO TOUR

We’ll head to Rio de Janeiro’s port area, completely renovated for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Today, this district is one of the city’s most modern and vibrant zones.

We’ll begin with a visit to AquaRio, the largest aquarium in South America.

Inside, you’ll find over 8,000 marine animals from around 350 different species from all over the world.

One of the highlights is the Oceanic and Diving Tank—the largest in the aquarium—at seven meters deep.

A fascinating experience for the whole family.

After the aquarium visit, we’ll walk along the Olympic Boulevard, a wide avenue with spectacular views of Guanabara Bay.

During the walk, your Spanish-speaking guide will share interesting facts about the area’s history and transformation.

The final stop will be at the Kobra Mural, an impressive urban artwork by renowned Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra.

Covering more than 3,000 square meters with vibrant colors and indigenous faces, this graffiti has become one of Rio’s visual icons.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 5 – FAVELA TOUR

Guided tour through one of Rio de Janeiro’s famous favelas.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 6 – FREE DAY FOR PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

This day is free for personal activities and further exploration of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings.
