DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN COSTA RICA

Time for immigration and baggage claim.

Upon exiting the airport, our representative will be waiting wearing a jacket and/or holding a paddle with the flag of the Dominican Republic.

Transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport – Alajuela (SJO) to the hotel.

DAY 2 – PANORAMIC TOUR OF SAN JOSÉ

06:00AM – 10:00AM Breakfast at the hotel.

10:30AM – 03:00PM

After picking you up from the hotel, we’ll begin our city tour of San José with a first stop at the National Theater, the city’s architectural gem.

Just a few blocks away, we’ll visit the Costa Rican Art Museum and the Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia Museum.

We’ll also stroll through the streets of the Central Market, then pass by the new National Stadium and visit the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Other important city landmarks will also be included.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 3 – ARENAL VOLCANO + HOT SPRINGS EXCURSION

06:00AM – 07:15AM Breakfast at the hotel.

07:30AM – 10:30PM

After hotel pickup in San José, we’ll begin our journey to Arenal Volcano.

We’ll stop in the town of Sarchí, birthplace of Costa Rican handicrafts.

Then we’ll pass through pineapple and mango plantations until we reach the entrance of Arenal Volcano National Park, located near the town of La Fortuna.

In La Fortuna, we’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant.

The menu includes rice, beans, salad, meat, picadillo, ripe plantain, and natural juice.

While dining, we’ll enjoy incredible views of the volcano, which began its most recent active period on July 29, 1968.

Since then, it has emitted gases and water vapor, making it the most active volcano in Costa Rica.

After visiting one of the world’s most famous craters, we’ll relax in the thermal waters of Baldi.

We’ll end the day with a buffet-style dinner featuring rice, beans, two types of meat, salad, dessert, and natural juice.

After dinner, we’ll return to the hotel in San José.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 4 – FREE DAY FOR PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

06:00AM – 10:00AM Breakfast at the hotel.

This day is free for personal activities and to explore more of San José and its surroundings.
